While our hotels have a host of venues to suit many of your meeting and event needs, Aruba offers dynamic local venues to give that memorable, authentic “sense of place” experience with a taste of the island’s history and culture infused into your schedule of events.
This restored fort and clock tower is a proud symbol of Aruba's national heritage. Built in 1868, it once served as both a lighthouse and public clock tower, and now houses the Aruba Historical Museum. The courtyard hosts the island's Bon Bini ("welcome" in the local Papiamento language) Festival every Tuesday, and would also be a fitting locale for your group's very own Bon Bini welcome party.
National Archeological Museum
Located in the heart of downtown Oranjestad in a complex of buildings dating back to 1870, the museum is a harmonious merge of the past and present, exploring Aruba’s cultural and ethnic heritage in a colorful collection stretching over 4000 years.
The facility is ideal for cocktail receptions, and there is also an on-site auditorium perfect for presentations and seminars.
Arikok National Park
Our island’s national park, which spans 34 square kilometers, contains examples of most of Aruba’s flora and fauna.
The park’s Visitor’s Center complex, built with South American hardwood, has a wrap-around veranda that would be an idyllic setting for an event with a backdrop of breathtaking vistas of Aruba’s dramatic geological complexity and beauty.
Plaza Daniel Leo
Plaza Daniel Leo is the town square of our island, and is located in Aruba’s capital city, Oranjestad. Recently renovated, the Plaza Daniel Leo offers picturesque Dutch Caribbean architecture as a backdrop for private events. The space can accommodate 500 guests and boasts plenty of space for creativity and options for various events.
Casibari Rock Formations
Aruba’s rock formations are fascinating, natural geologic wonders in the Caribbean. The formations at Casibari are now part of a unique outdoor entertainment venue where magical events under the stars in a most unforgettable setting can be achieved.
Give your group a toes-in-the-sand experience for events, as well fun activities and organized team-building games with one of our most treasured assets—our picturesque beaches. Whether it’s the breathtaking, wide-open spaces found on Eagle Beach, the dramatic shoreline of Arashi Beach that sits just under the historic California Lighthouse, or Baby Beach on the southern end of the island, there are dozens of beach settings to consider for your group.
Plaza Turismo (Tourism Plaza)
This new event area, situated at the beginning of downtown Oranjestad, was recently inaugurated by Her Royal Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the Royal Family. The Tourism Plaza serves as the anchor for the Aruba Linear Park, which upon completion will be the largest of its kind in the Caribbean.
Parties and events often require street closings and Aruba happily obliges. Your group may be able to close a street for a celebration or special event. Ask your DMC about street closings and street parties to complement your meeting.
